Natasha Pedro-Petty B.A. (Hons)
Natasha graduated
from McGill University in 2006 with a Bachelor’s Degree in
Psychology and Behavioural Neuroscience with a minor in Sociology.
She began her work in the field of Applied Behaviour Analysis as a
Verbal Behavioural Therapist at Tomorrow’s Voices in October of
2007. During university, Natasha gained experience with children on
the Autism Spectrum and brought her passion and dedication back to
her home in Bermuda. Her experience at Tomorrow’s Voices includes
providing 1:1 instruction to clients and support to parents. With a
particular interest in the behavioural and communication aspects of
the spectrum, she intends to pursue her Masters Degree in the near
future.
“Having a career where I can be a part of increasing awareness and
providing resources for children and their families is so rewarding.
It is the children I have to thank every day for making my life a
little brighter, and I intend to continue on in insuring that
Bermuda has these resources needed to help these children succeed.” |

Mona Wierzbicki B.A.
After graduating
Magna Cum Laude with a BA in Psychology and Art from the University
of Rhode Island, Mona Wierzbicki started her career as a preschool
teacher. There she attended a workshop on preventing and managing
difficult behaviors and became interested in working specifically
with challenged learners. She has since worked throughout New York,
Massachusetts, and her hometown of Rhode Island providing
professional and private services to children on the Autism Spectrum
between the ages of two to twenty one utilizing the principles of VB
and ABA. She has collaborated with educators, parents, OT and SLP
professionals in both home based and center based programs.
“My success as a therapist has come from applying the principles of
ABA and VB. Getting a child to demonstrate what they know,
especially a child with communication deficits can be very
difficult, but through an understanding of behavior and learning it
is possible. With some learners it happens very quickly, while
others may take more time. It can be discouraging when a child
doesn’t progress as quickly as you or the family anticipates, but
with dedication, perseverance, patience, and a knowledgeable team
any child can and will learn. There is no greater reward when even a
small step is achieved, and this is what we strive for, working hard
every day…for tomorrow’s voices.”

After graduating
with a BS in Psychology from Atlantic Union College in Lancaster, Massachusetts, Nevillene returned home to Bermuda to teach for several years in the Government schools. It was while teaching in numerous primary and middle schools that she was first exposed to and developed an interest in children with Autism. The next decade of her career was spent in Oregon, where she gained clinical experience working in a busy pediatric practice and provided instructional leadership in a preschool setting to gain experience in early childhood education. With a passion for integrating technology into the classroom to facilitate more effective learning, Nevillene pursued her Masters in Education specializing in Instructional Technology from American Intercontinental University. In summer 2009, Nevillene returned to Bermuda with a renewed interest in effective learning for children of all levels and abilities.

"Recently, I have been fortunate to have this amazing opportunity to work here at Tomorrow's Voices. It is a new challenge in my journey and all that I am learning and receiving from the children at Tomorrow's Voices, are tools that equip me for the outer world. The world of autism and the children's lives are here to make a difference and to bring a level of understanding and appreciation to the Bermuda community. Being a part of Tomorrow's Voices has given me a new cause to help those who haven't had a voice: to be heard, to be seen, and to be loved." |
