Dear Friends,

As you read this letter, there are millions of children around the world with autism that are engaged in intensive therapy, struggling to learn and relearn the most basic of concepts such as responding to their names, recognising a smile, or acknowledging a peer.

Tomorrow’s Voices is designed to meet the individual needs of children who are diagnosed with Autism or on the Autism Spectrum between the ages of two and 21 years of age in Bermuda. Autism is characterised by severe and pervasive impairment in several areas of development: reciprocal social interaction skills, communication skills, or the presence of stereotyped (repetitive) behaviour, interests, and activities. Our language-based programme provides therapy within a Verbal Behavior (VB)/ Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) environment with a maximum of 1:2 therapist-to-child ratio for our clients.

This year, we are launching an exciting new campaign which will not only heighten the awareness of the vital services which Tomorrow’s Voices offers, but will increase traffic through your doors and help consumers to save money.

We are pleased to announce the launch of The Premier Shopping and Dining Event in Bermuda, Eat Shop Give. When someone purchases an Eat Shop Give card, they will receive a discount from participating merchants (see attached details). Monies raised from card sales will go towards the hiring of an additional Therapist at Tomorrow’s Voices in order to further serve Bermuda’s autism community.

On behalf of Bermuda’s children with autism, we sincerely thank you in advance, for helping us move ever closer to the goal of ensuring that Tomorrow’s Voices continues to provide Verbal Behavior and Applied Behavior Analysis services to children with autism and their families, helping them to have the best lives possible.

Regards,

Erica R. Smith

Chairwoman – Board of Directors

HERE’S HOW EAT SHOP GIVE WORKS

 •     April is Autism Awareness Month. During April 1st through 8th, 2009, Bermuda’s premier merchants will offer a discount of their choice to all Eat Shop Give cardholders. VIP cardholders will enjoy merchant discounts April 1st through 11th, 2009.

 •     A description of your discount/offer will be included in extensive marketing, (direct and mass), advertisements and media contact to promote the Eat Shop Give program.  You may place any restriction or exclusions at your discretion, (example: you may not want to include sale items, online purchases, special orders or layaway items. Restaurants may want to offer free desert, a glass of wine, or promote a special dish). Your Business your choice.

 •     There is no charge to participate in the promotion; you simply need to honour your offer when an Eat Shop Give cardholder shops at your business during the promotional period!  Cardholders will be provided with a directory of all participating merchants.

 •     Tomorrow’s Voices will help drive sales to increase total purchases at your business, by offering an Eat Shop Give Grand prize, (TBD).  Cardholders who spend a minimum of $100.00 per visit at participating retail establishments, and $150.00 per visit at participating restaurants qualify for entry. Entry forms will be provided and collected by Tomorrow’s Voices. The grand prize drawing will take place on Wednesday, April 15th, 2009.

 •     Eat Shop Give Cards will be available for purchase from the 16th March 2009, at a cost of $10.00 each, (a limited number of VIP cards will be available for $100.00 each).  Each card purchased will list the name of the cardholder, and only the cardholder will be eligible for the discount.  If you would like to increase your store traffic, and have your name included as a Eat Shop Give card sale location, please indicate on the participation form.  We have volunteers and an attractive display available if you will be kind enough to allow it.

 •     A reception is being planned for all participating merchants and VIP card holders to launch Eat Shop Give, (date and time to be determined).
